LinkedIn’s Future of Work Report on AI explores how artificial intelligence is reshaping jobs, skills, and workplace dynamics. The report, based on global workforce trends and data from LinkedIn’s Economic Graph, reveals how professionals and businesses are adapting to AI’s growing presence in everyday work.
How AI is Changing Work
According to LinkedIn’s research, AI is being used in workplaces more than ever—sometimes without official company policies. In Spain, for example, 68% of professionals say they are already using AI in their daily tasks. However, many are using AI tools personally rather than as part of a structured company initiative.
The study highlights a key gap: while 90% of business leaders in Spain recognize AI’s potential to transform work, only 13% of companies have started implementing AI-powered strategies. This suggests that while AI adoption is happening at an individual level, organizations are still playing catch-up.
The Rise of AI-Driven Job Roles
One of the most striking findings from the report is how AI is influencing job creation. 1 in 10 jobs today didn’t exist in 2000, showing just how quickly new roles like AI Specialist and Data Scientist have emerged. These jobs are growing as businesses look to integrate AI into decision-making, automation, and workforce management.
Skills of the Future
By 2030, 70% of the skills required for jobs today will have changed, according to LinkedIn’s report. This means that upskilling and reskilling will be critical for professionals who want to stay relevant in an AI-driven world. To help with this, LinkedIn is rolling out AI-powered tools for recruitment and career development, including a virtual coaching assistant designed to improve soft skills.
As LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman put it, “The classic 9-to-5 job is becoming a thing of the past.” AI, remote work, and flexible career paths are shaping a future where adaptability is key.
